Student groups are an important part in the unparalleled educational experiences happening every day at Louisiana Tech University. Recently, our chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) hosted the Deep South Regional Competition and excelled, resulting in an invitation to the ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition next month in Melbourne, Florida!
You can be a part of their race for the top prize with a gift to help send them to represent Louisiana Tech's College of Engineering and Science on a national stage.
"ASCE is one of the few on-campus organizations that offers design and build experience," said chapter president Katya O. "The experience to work through this competition with friends and strangers enables us to refine our leadership and team-building skills. We knew we were capable of qualifying for nationals, and we pushed ourselves to do our best and achieved our goal."
